GENERAL INFORMATION FOR PROSPECTIVE BUYERS.....
Note: The decision to buy a horse, whether a foal, youngster, or mature horse, is clearly a huge decision for most. ZFS makes every effort to provide as much information and assistance as possible, and works to make the process as clearly defined as possible. These notes hopefully serve to make the process and expectations clear to prospective buyers.

FARM VISITS are welcomed between the hours of 9:30-3:30 pm.Seven days a week.We appreciate knowing how many people are coming – dogs MUST be kept in vehicles.

SHOWINGS- Nursing foals and weanlings are generally shown in pasture.Viewings of horses in work and under saddle begin in stall or pasture, then proceed to tacking up and work. If there is something specific you want to view or a specific order other than described here, please let us know ahead of visit.

PRICES – our horses are priced very fairly and are firm. Please be clear about current prices before visits.

PAYMENT OPTIONS are sometimes available. Any horse to be purchased on payments MUST be insured at the time a purchase agreement is signed and deposit/first payment is made. NO EXCEPTIONS. ZFS must be the beneficiary on the policy.
5. PRE-PURCHASE EXAMS are welcomed. All exams are to be conducted at ZFS – all veterinarians must be approved ahead of time (aka – there are clinics/vets we will not allow.)A Pre-purchase agreement must be signed and non-refundable deposit or a conditionally refundable full payment be made prior to exam.
6. EXTENDED BOARD is sometimes offered, depending on space available.
7. ZFS TRANSPORTATION is sometimes available within3 hours of the farm. We can also provide long distance shipping referrals.All costs associated with transport, including Coggins and health papers are the responsibility of the buyer.
8. ASSUMED INHERENT RISK AROUND LIVESTOCK – hopefully it goes without saying that being around horses, handling horses, riding horses is a dangerous activity.Please exercise care on the farm.
